This summer, one of co-organizers of this series, Nia, is going to Hawai’i where her mother is from.
Hawai’i has been on news in Hiroshima since the Pearl Harbor National Memorial and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park have signed a sister park agreement.
Let’s listen her report of the trip and have dialogue together.

My name is Nia, I’m currently a high school senior in my second year of IB studying in Hiroshima. I will be visiting Hawaii for a month and am going to see what I can find out about what Hawaiians and Hawaii’s visitors think about the sister parks agreement between Hawaii and Hiroshima. I’m especially excited to learn more about the situation and talk about it because I’m half Hawaiian having lived my whole life in Hiroshima.
